THE SUSPENSE IS TERRIBLE...
I hope it lasts. As I eagerly await the release of the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie, I decided to pull out my Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory DVD just to remember wonderfully crazy movie it was. Some of my favorite bits:
Gene Wilder's wacky and slightly evil overall performance.- The cool tumble he does when he greets the winners at the gate of the Chocolate Factory.
- The long "Terms of Service" that everyone has to read before going in
- The oompa loompahs
- The plethora of literary and cultural allusions sprinkled throughout the film
- And my personal favorite...the boat song!
